Add a little variety and flavor to plain Fruit Skewers. Grill up some Pineapple and Mango and turn plain fruit into Grilled Fruit Skewers. Grilling adds a rich flavor and brings out the natural sweetness in the fruit, eliminating the need for sugary glazes or sauces. These are a combination of Grilled Pineapple, Grilled Mango, Strawberries and Fresh Figs for a simple, not too complicated and elegant addition to the Asian Appetizer Party buffet. Simply pop some fruit onto a hot grill pan or the BBQ, cool and skewer. You can grill them up ahead of time and they keep for a day or two in the fridge. Experiment with different fruits. Try Star Fruit, Melon, Figs, Watermelon, Peaches, Plums and Plantains or Bananas are all good fruits to grill. Top them off with a squeeze of fresh lime and garnish with edible flowers for a beautiful and definitely not boring fruit skewer.
