Every October my friend invites me over for a cup of tea and a chance to help her save her prolific apple tree from overload. The boughs hang heavy with the most amazingly crunchy apples so I happily relieve them of their load. I plan to make batches of Healthy Homemade Applesauce to stock my freezer but between enjoying them fresh off the tree and eating lots and lots of sauce, my freezer never gets stocked. This is a great side dish for Fall dinners. It is fast, healthy and indulgent without any added sugar. Make a huge batch and see if you can manage to get some into the freezer.
